Francois
Englert (Univ. Libre de Bruxelles) & Peter W. Higgs (Univ. of
Edinburgh) have been awarded 2013 NobelPrize in Physics. "For the
theoretical discovery of a mechanism that contributes to our
understanding of the origin of mass subatomic particles and which
recently was confirmed through the discovery of the predicted
fundamental particle by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at CERN's Large
Hadron Collider."
The collaborations of CMS and Atlas were celebrating the award at CERN in their office Bldg40. Next day I found myself on a local newspaper cover :)
